Business Book Review - 4 Stars
The full title of this fascinating book is "No B.S. Time Management For Entrepreneurs: The Ultimate No Holds Barred Kick Butt Take No Prisoners Guide To Time Productivity & Sanity".
Quite a title for a book which could be called "how to manage yourself like Dan Kennedy."
This is a very personal view of time management and productivity as top marketer, copywriter and author Dan Kennedy shares his productivity secrets.
There is a lot of common sense and good advice in this book although it has to be tempered with the thought that Dan Kennedy makes some of these ideas work because he is Dan Kennedy and has carefully developed the reputation of being grumpy and difficult to deal with.
It makes sense but it may not be the reputation you want to build if you are keen to push your business forward based on customer service and want to set an impeccable example to your team.
This book is very much about setting your agenda for your time (and life) and then sticking to it so much that you force others top bend to your will, rather than being the patsy who keeps making sacrifices for others.
Dan Kennedy asks "What is entrepreneurship if not the conversion of your knowledge, talent, guts etc - through investment of your time - into money?"
I agree which is why in my coaching system, Pillar 2 takes the entrepreneur from their vision of their life and business down through goals and priorities into time management.
Effective management of the use of your time, can be the difference between succeeding and limping along at a subsistence level. Enough money to live but little prosperity.

I recommend No BS Time Management at the 4 star level which is a read recommendation.
As you would expect the book is very well written and thought provoking and perhaps deserves an even high grade except for one niggle.
The feeling that many owners of small businesses will read the book and reject the ideas "I can do that.." and miss out on other controversial but effective ideas that can be done.
I like this book and my review copy shows that many points have been highlighted. I believe this is a book I will be returning to when I want to fight back against the time bandits and reassert confidence that I have the right - and duty - to be very focused about how I spend my time.

Dan Kennedy is best known as a direct marketing expert and has a number of nicknames but one is "the millionaire maker".
