Because my Business Books blog and my Business Coaching blog rank well in Google, I receive regular offers of leadership books to review.
This isn't a specialist area for me so I have found a guest reviewer.
Trudy Arthurs of DancingLeopards.com
Trudy is a leadership coach and much more knowledgeable than me about leadership and HR issues.
Please contact Trudy directly with any leadership book review offers at team@dancingleopards.com
That way it cuts out the middleman and you have much more chance of things happening.
Recruitment Of Other Guest Reviewers
I see the book reviews as good for all three of us:
- The author and his or her publicist who receive more publicity
- The reviewer who gets a free book and the chance to learn more skills
- Me with an extra page and more traffic coming to my blog - after all this is how Wikipedia came to dominate the Internet.
I am always looking for more reviewers of business books since I get offered more than I can handle.
When I say Yes, get the book and then struggle to find the time to read, I feel guilty... and I've got a few to feel guilty about reading at the moment.
If you'd like to be a guest reviewer for leadership books or any other type of business book and you are experienced in business - as a business owner, manager or business adviser - send me an email to paul@plancs.co.uk
How The Guest Book Reviewer Process Will Work
I will set up approved guest reviewers on my blog so you can log in and write your review.
Because of the time needed to review the books, I find that writing a first impressions of the book when it first comes helps to keep the author and publicist happy and to ease any guilt over taking your time to read it.
One well established author sent me a pre-publication of his new book and I found it really difficult to read but I'd loved an earlier book. Sometimes you just have to be in the mood.
