An article in HR Magazine says that coaching has held up well in the recession and has not been the victim of the cuts traditional seen in discretionary expenditure.
This of course refers to the coaching of employees to be more effective and successful, what I think of as executive coaching.
It is encouraging since it shows the belief the big businesses have in the power of coaching as a method for stimulating improvement.
How has the world of small business coaching been in the recession?
The impression I have - and I was out of the market in just about all of 2009 through ill health - new clients have been slow to appear and existing clients have made some hard decisions.
Where payback is clear, the business coaching has continued but where the benefits have been more fuzzy, I hear that clients have been cutting back.
What changes have you seen in the recession.
