My Thoughts On The First Guru Mastermind Video
Sorry Eben, this video gets off to a slow start and has some of the "I'm Mr Bigshot" information marketer stuff, which to be frank, pisses people off.
Fortunately this only goes on for 7 minutes so please do persevere and skip past it. If I'd been as successful as Eben, I'd probably be bragging as well.
He shares the numbers from his Altitude program ($4.5 million), his Guru Mastermind and Home Study ($5.2 million), Wake Up Productive ($1.0 m), Ignition ($1.0m). Eben made his reputation in the dating and relationships market (Double Your Dating) and that does about $20 million a year.
Eben then takes you behind the scenes in his business so you can understand how a big, successful Information marketing business works. He makes the point that the technology online means that it keeps making money 24/7.
He shares some statistics on ebook sales and information sales, just in case you mistakenly think that just about everybody has bought what they want.
If you are familiar with Eben and the excellent content who issues in his free videos then I have to admit, this isn't one of his best. It feels much more of a selling pitch than education.
To be fair he's trying to make sure you understand the opportunity available from selling information products.
At the 24:30 mark Eben reveals the 3 steps to starting an information business:
- deciding what you know of value
- targeting your niche where there is a real need (see video 2 in the launch)
- creating the product (see video 3 in the launch)
At the 25:30 mark Eben reveals the biggest mistake most people make when they start.
Eben Pagan then walks you through the first Guru Blueprint exercise. You can download the one page pdf and then he suggests you do it ten times to re-program your mind.
If you're short of time and know about Eben Pagan and you want to sell information products, then I recommend you sign up and get involved in the video from the 24:30 stage. The stuff before is a bit boring and doesn't give you a return on your time. Sorry Eben but that's the way I see it.

As expected the gurus are going to be hitting Guru Blueprint hard and a lot of traffic has been sent already.
While I was disappointed in the video, it is gathering lots of favourable comments.
Perhaps it was just me.
