I was a member of iLearning Global for three months after being enticed into it by the Brian Tracy iLearning Global promotional team and I want to review my iLearning Global experience.
I was already a fan of Brian Tracy's work and I am an affiliate for Brian, although it is one of my lowest income affiliate programs.
iLearning Global Review
The idea of bringing the best business experts and trainers together to teach small businesses how to grow and develop their businesses is a great one.
I firmly believe that there is too much fragmentation in the business education world but to create a unique presence, each expert has to say "forget about what you know already and listen to me. I know the profitable way."
It's silly when you think of it like that but that's marketing. The big money goes to those who are different in ways that create value.
iLearning Global is different in that it brings many different people's ideas together and often their signature ideas which made them famous.
iLearning Global Content Review
Well presented and put together it is no surprise that the iLearning Global videos are excellent quality.
In my time, I certainly didn't watch them all but I have reviewed a number of the individual videos.
They are designed to be short and impactful and while they make you think, I believe there is a gap between the training videos, the viewer learning and then taking action.
I quit iLearning Global in April 2009 and while I had been told that structured training programs were coming, they were not available at the time.
I was also told that a more social media feel would be added to the iLearningGlobal.tv website which it needs since videos are presented by name and presenter name without any details of what's covered or what other viewers have thought of the video.
But I was in iLearning Global in the early days and therefore you need to consider that when reading my review. It could have changed greatly between when I was an iLearning Global member and how it is while you are reading this and thinking about joining.
Inevitably my focus was on the videos. It seems a better way of learning although most of the time, the visual aspect only consisted of the iLearning Global speaker atanding and talking in the studio so the visual element didn't improve the training significantly.
The iLearning Global training is quality and I believe that it will get better as it gets more structured.
However I did have the feel that the iLearning Faculty had included their elements as part of a lead generation technique so that you would buy their stuff. That may not be fair but it will be difficult to integrate all the different ideas from all the different experts in a coherent and sensible way. The danger is that the training presentations contradict and confuse and inhibit action.
The basis of my iLearning Global content review is that I am happy to recommend a trial membership of iLeasrning Global for anyone who wants to learn more about business. I believe the price is very competitive for what it can become.
iLearning Global Opportunity Review
iLearning Global is promoted on a multi-level marketing basis and your involvement in this is optional.
It only cost $20 to be able to earn an income from persuading others to try iLearning Global together with an extra $10 for the payment card. I was critical of the payment system when I read the rules and believe that it is designed for high earners but not low earners.
If you join under the Brian Tracy organisation, you wil receive support to promote iLearning Global to the people you know, meet and come into contact with.
I believe a few people will make a lot of money promoting iLearning Global but the multi-level marketing system didn't suit me. Commission levels are low for initial sales so you are reliant on your marketing chain to successfully promote iLearning Global.
I found that while people were interested in the iLearning Global concept, the multi-level marketing aspect was a stigma that stopped people committing.
MLM just smells bad to too many people and puts people in mind of scams and pyramid selling schemes.
Sad but I believe that it was the wrong decision.
You can only earn your commissions while you are an iLearning Global member so you need to quickly build up your sales to cover those initial costs.
I didn't manage to do that, partly because the MLM stigma stopped me taking it to my list and the competition on the internet for searches on iLearning Global is pretty tough. You may get ranked on the first page with a lot of effort and link building (see Stompernet course for Search Engine Optimisation training).
So are you going to push iLearning Global at the people you meet?
Probably not was my thoughts. It was always a potential extra source of income but it wasn't going to be the primary one.
I found that the iLearning Global training was not good enough - not advanced enough - to compensate for the flaws in the income opportunity side when I had invested for income.
Overall iLearning Global Assessment
As a training facility there is huge potential in iLearning Global provided they can manage the diversity of all the different ideas and put it into coherent programs. It may be challenging since it may cut across the egos of the iLG faculty members.
If you want business training and you want to learn directly from some of the biggest names and best speakers, then I can't see any reason not to try iLearning Global.
If your interest in iLearning Global is as an income opportunity / business opportunity then you need to be careful. You won't lose a lot since there is no big sign-up fee which you can see with some MLM schemes but I also have doubts on how much most iLearning Global marketers will earn.
I decided that it wasn't for me and quit after 3 months.
Did I get value for my time and effort? No.
Do I regret looking at the opportunity? No.
Knowing what I did then, I would probably make the same decision to try it.
Knowing what I know now, the decision to quit was clear.
What Do You Think About iLearning Global?
Love or hate i Learning Global?
Either way I will be very interested to read your thoughts and reviews for iLG.
Do you agree with me of have I overlooked an important element that could make the difference?
Alternative Training to iLearning Global
I withdrew from iLearning Global but I have been a member of Simpleology for about three years. It doesn't cost anything to join and there is some excellent training.
A lot is free - at least at the first stage - and then you buy what you want. The website undersells the benefits. Joining Simpleology is strongly recommended for anyone with a business. Start with the Simpleology 101 course and the excellent best selling marketing book The Irresistible Offer now available FREE.
