For some reason yesterday I logged into my Clickbank account and I was shocked to find that I had earned a little money from a sale back in the Spring but since then I had been paying for the privilege of promoting their products that were not selling.
What a cheek!
After 90 days of inactivity on accounts with a positive balance, a charge of $1 is made per pay period (twice a month) which then rises to $5 after 180 days and $15 per pay period after 365 days.
So my $30 affiliate sale was quickly disappearing but if I had withdrawn the money back in April, I wouldn't have the problem.
I promote very little at the low end and it does take a lot of sales to generate much income.
I am shocked by Clickbank and have cancelled my account.
I can't see why any casual affiliate would put up with this nonsense and I won't be taking part in any more of the Clickbank affiliate promotions.
Just had a quick check on the Internet and it seems that quite a few people think that Clickbank is a scam for small affiliates with some very unfriendly payment terms.
Now I know, my view is simple, avoid Clickbank unless you find what looks to be an absolute winner for your niche.
