Some weeks ago I raged about Clickbank's policy of dormant accounts and how they were stealing my money because I wasn't selling anything regularly and then, when I had a look at their payment policy, there were still rules to get your money out.
I had a tantrum and immediately cancelled my Clickbank account and took away the affiliate links for my Clickbank products.
But then, yesterday, I received a cheque for $280 out of the blue.
It seems that I have made life tough for myself by having two Clickbank accounts - maybe even more - so while one wasn't selling regularly, the other made a little sale every now and again.
I still don't like Clickbank and their rules for dormant accounts and the payment policy. I still believe the reporting system is cumbersome since it took me considerable time to find out what product I was promoting was selling.
But I do like money and for that I am grateful to Clickbank for finding me this unexpected cash.
If you are a novice to affiliate marketing, I would still recommend that you be wary but now that I have managed to get a payment, it seems that I will have to go back and reinstate my clickbank affiliate codes.
It seems that numbers matter and if you are going to promote Clickbank affiliate products, you need to have enough to generate regular orders from multiple sources. That way you avoid the dormant account problem.
