Some weeks ago I raged about Clickbank's policy of dormant accounts and how they were stealing my money because I wasn't selling anything regularly and then, when I had a look at their payment policy, there were still rules to get your money out.

I had a tantrum and immediately cancelled my Clickbank account and took away the affiliate links for my Clickbank products.

But then, yesterday, I received a cheque for $280 out of the blue.

I came across an interesting blog from Mark Brownlow on Email Marketing Reports where he introduces the concept of the email marketing chain.

Mark indicates that it is very normal for less than 15% of the people you email to click through of any of your links in the email.

I have just bailed out of another Mike Filsaime product - this time Butterfly Reports.

There are not enough quality reports coming into the system, I refuse to promote any Clickbank products because of their payment policies and I just wasn't getting value.

But when I emailed support to cancel, they came back and told me that I had to do it through PayPal to stop the annual payment.
