I thought I would bring you this little video from Shama Hyder as Twitter is getting a huge amount of publicity in the UK at the moment - it really is turning into THE big thing for 2009. The video explains what I think of as Twitter bad habits and Shama describes as Twitter Don'ts.
The video is only a few minutes long but, like all social media, if you go in there all guns blazing, you can get a bad name for yourself.
I agree with all three points although point 2 takes a little explaining.
Re-tweets in Twitter are a great way for messages and ideas to go viral and I personally don't have a problem with including please RT in the general Twitter message.
What I would have a problem with, just as Shama says is a direct message from someone I don't know saying "Paul can you re-tweet this for me".
