You may have heard that Rich Schefren and Jay Abraham are coming out with a new program called the League of Extraordinary Minds and you can be an affiliate.
League of Extraordinary Minds Affiliate or main offer (both affiliate links)
The League is a collection of 53 of the most respected business advisors and experts who are being brought together to share their expertise to businesses grow and increase profit.
Why does this matter to you?
Because the League of Extraordinary is going to extend well beyond the normal Internet marketing circles and therefore it presents an opportunity for you to make some money as a League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate.
Do I hear you say that you don't want to tout anything and be all salesy?
I can understand that and this is the great thing about being a League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate. There is going to be a stack of great content that is going to be given away for free.
And don't you think that you ought to be letting people you know who own small businesses know about the League of Extraordinary Minds so they can benefit from the free content?
If they buy anything, it is because they have been impressed with the free stuff and want to know more. If and when they buy through your affiliate link, you get paid some commission.
That's win-win in my opinion since you earning something doesn't affect the price paid. Of course you should disclose your financial interest as a League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate.
Listen To Rich Schefren Explain The League Of Extraordinary Minds
All you have to do to become an affiliate for the League of Extraordinary Minds is to fill in a simple form and you will be given a special link for "your customers" to click through.
League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate - (affiliate link)
The affiliate scheme is free to join and if you are wondering about my motives in suggesting that you become an affiliate, the scheme is double tiered. If you earn something, then I also earn a small percentage of what you get.
That opportunity also applies to you so you have a second chance of earning income through the League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate scheme by recruiting new affiliates.
Making Money As A League Of Extraordinary Minds AffiliateMy friend and client Chris Green of ThisBlogWillPayMyMortgage.com has put this 8 minute video of how to make money as a League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate which is well worth watching.
Depending on your particular situation, I would add the following advice to help you to make more money as a League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate since Chris covers the issue of link building very nicely.
- If you know owners of small businesses who could benefit from the information provided by the League of Extraordinary Minds, send them an email with your link.
- Even better, if you already have an email list of entrepreneurs, send them emails. It is very clear to me from looking at the experts in the League, this is not just about Internet marketing. Yes there is a lot of spam but many more people will become interested in the League of Extraordinary Minds through email than direct searching on Google.
- Target other keywords. You can be sure that it will be very competitive in Google for the League of Extraordinary Minds and that means that it will be difficult to get on page 1, let alone the top of page 1. So look at the experts in the LOEM and focus on their topics. For example in my League of Extraordinary Minds hubpage I have focused in on the influence and persuasion people. I have also included a reference to the League in some of my popular Squidoo pages like Business Profitability. People click through on what sounds interesting and that's why Google Adsense is so successful. For good keywords see the Google Keyword Tool but be realistic about what you target. Good search levels with low competition is ideal.
- Pay per click - if you are experienced at Google Adwords and the other pay per click schemes then you could promote your affiliate link through pay per click although you will need to convert your link to something acceptable. Since each click costs you money, this is not recommended for anyone inexperienced with PPC.
- Insert a banner ad on your website or blog. You will see the League of Extraordinary Minds logo in the side bar. Banners are ignored by many but clicked by some and it is non intrusive.
- A more intrusive way to promote your League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate link would be in a pop up box on your website. They can be irritating but I like the slide up pop up boxes that just cover the bottom of the page. These are usually opt-in boxes but you can use them for announcements as well.
Will you make a fortune with the League of Extraordinary Minds affiliate scheme?
Probably not unless you are sitting on a major untapped resource like a high traffic website for small business owners. Many people you tell won't do anything. Another big proportion will love the free content but won't buy and a small proportion may buy.
The best I've ever done from a single affiliate promotion is $6,000 but that's enough to buy a very nice holiday or other treat. That was the Product Launch Formula 2.0 promotion in March 2008 when I'd been online for about six months so it is possible.

I was astonished when someone landed on this blog after searching for League of Extraordinary Minds scam.
How can it be a scam when they are giving so much content away?
Yes there is an upsell but there is a money back guarantee and it's a very generous offer.
