It's probably too specialised and expensive for everyone except those who want to dominate the SERPs for their keywords in competitive niches or who wants to be an SEO consultant.
I introduced it to you a couple of weeks ago in my SEO Brain Trust blog and I hope you took the chance to watch the free training videos from Dan and Leslie.
They really know their stuff don't they?
I really like the way both of them teach and it makes a complex subject understandable to a non-techie like me.
Should You Join The SEO Brain Trust For Coaching From Dan Thies & Leslie Rohde?
But do you need this advanced SEO stuff?
Not if you are competing locally for low volume keywords. To rank number one for "Accountant Whitchurch Prees" (where I used to live when I was a young lad), will just need the basics.
To rank number one or even on the first page on Google for "Accountant Birmingham" will need you to take a program like Stomping The Search Engines (which Dan and Leslie were major contributors to) and put those lessons into action.
Not a quick fix either but a long term SEO campaign with on-page and off-page optimisation.
Now to rank number one nationally in a middle sized country like the UK for your main keyword term will be tough. You may do it yourself if you are dedicated (it grieves me to say it but I have lost my long term number one position for "business coach" in Google.co.uk - better put in an extra link - business coach).
But you probably need either:
- A very good SEO consultant who really knows their stuff (and they are probably clients of Dan Thies and Leslie Rohde in the SEO Brain Trust and follow every word from Matt Cutts etc)
- To join the SEO Brain Trust yourself with part of the money you will not have to pay the SEO consultant but only provided you've got the time to learn and set up the actions needed to follow their guidance.
I love the challenge of SEO but I don't want to be an SEO consultant or coach. I don't even want to specialise in Internet marketing.
So what Dan and Leslie are doing with the SEO Brain Trust is a step too far for me and I am rather "information overloaded" at the moment - there's no such phrase but I am sure you get my meaning.
But what about you.
I know that Dan and Leslie are committed to your SEO success and that places in the SEO Brain Trust are very limited. I heard that they are only after 150 new members.
