This is important and is one thing that concerned me when I saw the extra charges for a long video but they've got it covered. I mean how do you know how long it is going to take someone else to get through a script. What's not quite so clear to me is what happens if the copy sheet is wrong and the video does take longer.
- How does the professional voice over work?
- Can you write my audio and video script for me? Come on I know I said that iFlash Video Monthly was a done for you service but they know the video technology... you know your business, customers and what they want.
- Can I provide my own audio?
- Are you checking my script for grammar?
- Can you insert custom images, video clips, or logo's I send?
- Do I have a choice of Voice-Over talent? iFlash Video are based in the United States so this is a bit of an issue for me in the UK. It sounds like I can get an English accent on the video but it will cost extra. Fair enough but it does lift the price bar for non US areas although there is the option to do your own voice-over.
What Do I Think About iFlash Video?
I think it is a terrific idea and extremely tempting.
Since I first saw the offer yesterday, the only thing that has stopped me from buying is the need to move from American accent to English accent.
On that I have two concerns.
The first is one of cost - if I insist on an English voice it adds another $50 to the cost each video. If I don't, the videos may not convert as well as they should do when I am promoting UK services. Hearing an American accent on an English website sounds fishy... just as it would the other way around.
I could do my own voice-over but that's one of the things that scares me about doing my own video and it means I have master the techie bit of audio recording.
The second thing that is stopping me is the fact that American English accents sound funny. Whenever I watch a Hollywood film or American TV show and a Brit speaks they don't sound like we do on this side of the Atlantic. I've no idea why, our TV shows, news shows etc all sound fine.
If I was in America I would be buying... because I'm in the UK I'm still thinking.

Crunch Time - Why I am Not Buying iFlash Video Monthly
I still believe this is a terrific idea to get quality videos done for you but I don't seem to be able to move past the American English to British English accent.
I know it is stupid and I would have bought membership into iFlash Video Monthly if I was in the United States.
But I can't get away from the idea that I'm being asked to pay double - an extra $50 per month for 15 to 60 seconds of voice over - to give the video credibility that comes from having a local voice.
I've even engaged in emails with the co founder Jason Anderson and doing my own audios which iFlash Video allows but I don't know how and he missed the opportunity to explain or even say "full guidance to making your own audio file will be provided in the members area."
Will I regret it? Probably. Even at $100, it is still a great price for a video each month and potentially a huge time saver.
