It's currently available with a 50% discount.
Thank you for your attention. I have access to Digital Marketer Lab and below I give you my review. I've tried to give you the facts without the irritating hype you see elsewhere. You'll also see that I don't use any tricks to get you to click through on my affiliate links and sneakily get the cookies installed in my favour. That's not the way I think you want to be treated.

The Background To Digital Marketer Lab
Digital Marketer Lab was originally launched a couple of months ago to his house list and a few affiliates (including me) promoted it then. It was very successfuly and what you're now seeing is the full rollout launch through all the affiliates including the big names.
That means you get a full product/promotion summary but please skip down to the review section.
Why I LIke Ryan Deiss So Much
Ryan is one of the few Internet marketers I pay particularly close attention to (the others are Rich Schefren and Glenn Livingston) because they provide great stuff - free and paid - and play fair.
What makes Ryan Deiss so special is that he's involved in many different market niches on the Internet (not just the make more money niche) and he's a big tester/optimiser. This means you get to hear about the little things that can make a big difference to your success.
This is important if you're someone like me who doesn't get the traffic volumes and hasn't got the patience to do a lot of testing. You get access to the results and can use the best methods without having to do the hard grunt work.
The Digital Marketer Lab Launch
Digital Marketer Lab was originally launched with a long video which has gone and has been replaced by The End of The Web Report (affiliate link) - this is basically the same core content but in written form which makes it much easier to consume since you can pick it up and put it down in bite sized components.
Ryan Deiss says the Internet is changing and you either need to adapt with it or you'll go the way of the dinosaurs.
I agree with Ryan.
The Internet Is Changing
The Internet is changing and it's no surprise because it's still seen by some of us old people as new technology and new stuff always creates change.
I love my PC, email and Google, don't have a smart phone and can't see the point of Facebook.
But I can't deny that Facebook, Twitter, other social media and mobile marketing and the latest apps are huge. Very popular with teenagers and those in their twenties and even older.
I guess I am one of those dinosaurs that is in danger.
And that's where Digital Marketer Lab comes in.
Ryan is sharing his knowledge and that of his team - about 30 experts in different areas - with people who join the Digital Marketer Lab.
Why You Should Read "The End Of The Web Report
First, if you're looking for a get rich quick scheme and you're not prepared to put in the effort, then don't waste your time. Digital Marketer Lab isn't for you.
Nor is it for you if you have the bad habit of buying stuff to help you succeed but you don't take much action.
It is for you if you're prepared to:
- learn,
- think about how you can best apply the learning in your business and
- then take action.
The basic thrust of the report is that history repeats itself and you have a choice.
Either you can learn from history and get ahead of the curve or be surprised by the changes and react after things have happened and everyone knows they've happened.

Technology goes through five stages of development and it's been the same from railways to various forms of media like newspapers. So it's no surprise that the same thing is happening with the Internet.
Those five stages are:
- Invention
- Proliferation - this is the time when easy money is made (think of the Internet ten years ago).
- Regulation - look at how Google and the FTC have stepped up the policing of the Internet.
- Consolidation - markets move towards a near monopoly as big firms dominate
- Innovation - which eventually leads to a big new invention which starts the cycle all over again.
Ryan Deiss argues that we are in between stages 4 and 5.
In 2001 the top 10 websites were getting 31% of traffic, in 2010, that statistic was up to 72% and by 2012 it's expected to be 82 to 85%.
With these changes, what worked before won't work in the future. The "gurus" who are selling rehashed theories from a few years ago are not helping you.
To deal with these changes, you need to know what's working now and Digital Marketer Lab will offer cutting edge, insider information that you can't get from a book or another course because it's drawn from what Ryan Deiss and his business has working in many different markets.
You and I won't beat the big sites like Amazon by any other way than through rapidly implementing innovations that work. It's going to be a big chllange anyway and some times it's better to work with the big boys.
That's why you need to join the Digital Marketer Lab - affiliate link
The Digital Marketer Lab Launch
In the launch videos I think Ryan Deiss has given you a great taster of what it is like to learn the tips of what is working in his Internet marketing books.
If you missed any, Ryan has covered
$80 million sales letter tweak
What Do You Get With Digital Marketer Lab?
It's a membership site with Ryan's materials, scripts, tools, software, split test results, expert interviews, training courses etc. (I had to laugh when my image below appears on other blogs about Digital Marketer Lab - take note, unless they are also called Paul, then you have to suspect that they haven't had a peak inside and are either working off my review or making it up.)
The mission of Digital Marketer Lab is " to empower small and mid sized online businesses with the knowledge, systems and contact they need to achieve extraordinary success in uncertain times."
I like that. It's got a very strong appeal.
Twice a month members will be receiving RAW training - and RAW stands for Real, Actionable and Works Today.
Digital Marketer Lab goes further as you're going to get access to the internal documents used by Ryan's companies - checklists, vendor lists, spreadsheets, standard operating procedures and even proprietary scripts, software and tools.
You also get access to some of the best training programs Ryan has put out including Video Sales Letter Formula, Facebook Ad Power and Gmail Advertising.
If you're thinking about starting a new online business or entering a new niche, then you're going to love the Idea Hatchery which is Ryan's training for how to check that you've got a winning idea.
This is an extensive video training course which I think has been sold for $500 on its own. It has five modules:
- getting started
- market validation
- product validation
- offer validation
- human capital
I like Idea Hatchery and if it gets offered on its own again, I'll write a proper review.
As a member of Digital Marketer Lab, you're also going to get the Monthly Split Test reports of what's working best across all of Ryan's businesses so you can see bang up to date information on the most successful tactics.
This is priviledged information and you'll see exactly what Ryan sees.
As a starter, you get the updated version of 43 Split Tests. This used to be the lead product into the Total Access Club membership. These are the things that have made the biggest difference in testing and it's astonishing what can make a difference. You'll also understand why the big gurus do certain things a particular way.
In the Digital Marketer Lab you also get access to the Standard Operating Procedures used in Ryan Deiss's companies.
At the moment, these SOPs include:
- Paid Search - 12 pages
- SEO - 6 pages
- Social media - 22 pages
- Membership sites - 5 pages
- New product launch - 7 pages
- Launch quality control - 6 pages
One of the criticisms I have with Internet marketing training programs is that there is so much fluff that drains the life and energy out of you so you never get around to doing anything.
And that's why I like the stuff from Ryan Deiss so much. He tells you what you need to know without all the padding.
If you've tried any of his short courses, you'll know for yourself how concise they are. These standard operating procedures in the Digital Marketer Lab are the same.
The impression I have is that the Digital Marketer Lab is pretty much all you need to succeed in Internet marketing with its focus on traffic and conversion.
If something works well, you'll get to hear about it from Ryan Deiss so you can ignore all the hyped up offerings from the other gurus that fill your inbox every week. Just being able to ignore them will save you a lot of time and help you to make the critical move from learning to doing.
How Much Does Digital Marketer Lab Cost? - 50% Discount At The Moment
You'll be surprised because it costs less than you'd expect to join Digital Marketer Lab... especially at the moment because of a 50% discount introductory offer.
You've got a choice of payment methods - either
- $97 per month (will be $197 per month in the future) or
- $597 per year (not sure what the full price will be but I'd guess $1,197 if the same logic applies).
Since $97 per month totals $1,164 over 12 months, the annual payment is a great deal with a 48.7% discount and explains why my affiliate sales are heavily tilted in its favour.
As you can imagine, having access to what's working for one of the top Internet marketers is a deal changer if you pay attention and apply what's suitable for your business.
In fact you may be wondering why no one has ever done this kind of thing before.
Why Hasn't there Been Anything Like Digital Marketer Lab Before?
Well Ryan Deiss has offered something similar.
Before he was so well known as an Internet marketing guru, Ryan started his Total Access Club and because he was looking for people to promote it, I was lucky enough to be given free access.
It's been closed for quite a long time to new members because the promise was that it would be limited to 1,000 members. Members of the Total Access Club are being moved into the Digital Marketer Lab and that's why I've been able to get inside DMLab and have a good look around.
From what I've seen so far, you can think of Digital Marketer Lab as Total Access Club 2.0 and I've been a keen advocate of the Total Access Club when you could get membership.
You get what many of the things that the Total Access Club would have given you and some things - like the Monthly Split Test reports and the regular RAW trainings - that haven't been part of the Total Access Club.
My Assessment of Digital Marketer Lab
For the right kind of Internet marketer - one who knows where he or she is going but wants help to get there - then I believe Digital Marketer lab is a no-brainer.
It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee so you can take a look, risk free and stay if you love what you get or ask for a refund if you don't think Digital Marketer Club is for you.
How much do you need to justify an investment in Digital Marketer Lab of $597 per year or $97 per month?
How much extra traffic or better conversions?
The answer is "not much."
I give Digital Marketer Lab my highest recommendation based on my long term experience of Ryan Deiss and his Total Access Club and my early impressions of the Digital Marketer Club.
Digital Marketer Club - affiliate link
If you're serious about having a successful Internet marketing business, you need to give yourself the chance to learn and apply this stuff.
Is Digital Marketer Lab Right For Internet Start-Ups?
I've heard feedback that Digital Marketer Lab sounds good but there are doubts for start-ups and Internet newbies.
I can understand that. Digital Marketer Lab includes advanced concepts and tricks to get more traffic and to improve conversions.
Some of the topics will go over the head of newbies. They go over mine too since I'm not technical.
But the inclusion of Idea Hatchery which is all about start-ups and checking that the ideas are valid and worth pursuing and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) make it very right for start-ups.
If your business ideas doesn't have promise, you need to know it quickly. That's what Idea Hatchery will do.
And if you've just started, then you need to know the best practices for getting traffic to your website and instead of having to turn to various other courses, you can work through the SOPs. Personally I find it much easier to focus on conversion when I have traffic going to a website because you get near instant feedback.

Is Digital Marketer Lab Selling?
Ryan Deiss always tests his offers carefully with his house list before passing them to his affiliates.
As some of these are still cookied into my original introduction, I'm seeing sales for both the monthly and the annual subscription of Digital Marketer Lab. The ratio is running at 3 annuals for every 1 monthly subscription for me at the moment,
People know a good deal when they see it.
If you'd like to promote Digital Marketer Lab when it does get released as an affiliate product, you can sign up at Ryan Deiss Affiliate (this is an affiliate link so I may get second tier commission - it rarely works but it's very nice when it does).
Promotions For Digital Marketer Lab
Ryan Deiss has been sharing sample tips from Digital Marketer Lab so you can see for yourself the value of what is on offer and even put the ideas to work and see the impact.
Unlike most launches when the good free stuff disappears when the shopping cart opens, Ryan isn't doing it that way. You can sample it for yourself (links take you to his pages and are through affiliate links).
$80 million sales letter tweak
On the Digital Marketer Lab sales page, Ryan Deiss is split testing two videos, various headlines etc (he does this all the time which is why getting access to his test results are so important)
One is a forty minute video.
This starts with Ryan walking around his office showing you his team of 30 plus. An indulgence? I don't think so. It very much shows that there is substance to Ryan's operation.
After a quick trip to show you his home office (he's got it good), he then explains the purpose of Digital Marketer Lab, what is involved and what it costs.
The second version is a longer video and goes over the issues covered in the End of The Web report (affiliate link). This puts the Digital Marketer solution into the perspective of the underlying changes that are happening on the Internet. Some of them are well underway.
Which video will you see? To get accurate split tests results it will be entirely random but don't worry. It's what DM Labs can do for you that is so important and Ryan explains what it is in both videos.
At this stage the introductory offer I mentioned earlier is still in place but you need to watch the video/check his site since the price could increase at any time. I hope not because it's pitched at a level to make it virtually irresistible to anyone serious about making good money on the Internet.
Is Digital Marketer Lab all you need?
It's tough to turn down the "hot product of the moment" but Digital Marketer Lab will provide a benchmark for buying other courses and I think you're going to decide that most of the time, you don't need the other stuff. DM Labs is that good.
Digital Marketer Lab - What Do You Think?
Let me know what you think about Digital Marketer Lab by leaving a comment.
Do you agree with Ryan Deiss that the Internet is changing and that you need to change with it?
I Am A Ryan Deiss Affiliate
Throughout this review of Digital Marketer Lab, I've not hidden the fact that I am a Ryan Deiss affiliate and I'd love to get the commission if you decide to give it a try.
I think it's important to reward those Internet marketers who give you honest and informed reviews so that they have incentive to carry on. Otherwise you just get left with the deceptive reviews and I'm sure you've seen plenty of those.
Who Digital Marketer Lab Is For
I normally have a section in my product reviews for who I think a product if for and who should avoid it.
I'm struggling with Digital Marketer Lab because I think every marketer who is looking to make money on the Internet needs information that comes from up-to-date testing.
It's less suitable for affiliates than ecommerce stores and information marketers but there's still plenty to be gained from it.
The only people who should avoid it are those who are financially stretched - it's always important to leave some room on your credit card or have some spare cash.
If that's you stop learning and take some action to make money. You can buy Digital Marketer when you're more secure. It's closed once. Ryan says it will close again but I'm sure it will re-open.
The two big problems that make things difficult to succeed online are traffic and conversions. Digital Marketer will help with both.
Beware Of Digital Marketer Lab Affiliate Bonuses - They Can Steal Your Time For Little Gain
I'm generally against affiliate bonuses.
First they are often low quality and with inflated values to make the offers sound appealing, and consist of information that may either confuse you or stuff that you just don't need.
I saw an offer for traffic tips yesterday which had nearly $5,000 of stuff for sale at $27. I didn't buy because I don't have the time to go through it.
Your time is precious.
Second, the challenge is to use what you buy... in this case Digital Marketer Lab. The more stuff you get, the more you get overwhelmed and the less likely it is that you'll take the action necessary to boost your earnings on the Internet.
The answer to have too much stuff isn't to get more. There's already a lot of information and resources in Digital Marketer Lab to feed any information addiction you have.
Affiliate marketing bonuses often create false want that you don't need based on a greedy belief that more is better than less.
That's not true for information products - you need enough to give you the confidence to take action and to paraphrase Rich Schefren, you need it just in time and not just in case.
The important thing is to make sure that:
- the information products you do have are the best quality,
. - that you understand what they are telling you and
. - you put them to use.
It's much better to go through some of these trainings two or three times, than to move on from one training product to the next in the search for the "magic get rich quick pill". This may even mean that Digital Marketer Lab isn't right for you right now.
Remember how you used to learn for school exams? You'd revise and go over the same things several times and feel more comfortable with the ideas. I know my own understanding would shoot up near exam time through repetition.
Digital Marketer Lab can only help you to make money if you apply the great ideas.
Click on my affiliate link please. Yes I'd like your commission but I've tried to lay out the facts for you.
I want you to succeed with it if you choose to buy it.
I recommend Digital Marketer Lab to action takers. Dreamers are better spending the money on their kids or investing it in their pensions.

Introducing Digital Marketer Pro
If Digital Marketer Lab is too expensive for you at the moment, then I'd like to recommend Digital Marketer Pro.
This is a monthly newsletter/magazine which Ryan Deiss launched in November 2011 with an offer of 12 months subscription for $49 for the year.
It's very good as I explain in my Digital Marketer Pro review.
Alternatively watch Ryan's video at Digital Marketer Pro (affiliate link)
You don't get the full monty that you get with Digital Marketer Lab but you still get tips on what's working now and some of the split test results.

The first video Ryan Deiss released under his Digital marketer Lab was the results of his test about "killing his blog".
http://businesscoaching.typepad.com/online_profits/2011/02/free-blogging-is-dead-long-live-paid-blogging.html
he had the idea that blogs were old fashioned and that for free content, facebook and email were the best ways and for premium content, and for other content, people should be prepared to pay a small price.
Things didn't go quite as he hoped but he stood up and explained why.

I wish Ryan Deiss had picked a better name for his new venture than Digital Marketer Lab.
Don't get confused with Digital Marketing Lab.
A very similar name but it is run by Teresa Sperti.
I suspect she's going to get a big jump in traffic from Google and people are going to get confused.

It's ALL about the future and it's scary.
Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Apple are rockin' ...but what's going to happen to YOU and me?

The bit of copy for Ryan Deiss affiliates has been issued to promote digital marketer lab.
Ryan is reporting that it is selling very well and I've knocked up quite a few affiliate sales. what I'm not seeing is a huge stream of traffic coming to my blogs. I think that's partly because it is such a great offer.
The Video Boss seems to be the big traffic generator at the moment - remember that Digital marketer has Ryan's training on Video Sales Letters included.
Here's the email.
SUBJECT: This changes EVERYTHING...
I'm not sure how else to say this.
Nothing will be the same after you find out
what's happening.
Do me a favor and watch this video because
it's a real wake up call.

Ignorance is NOT bliss right now.
See, a stealth freight train has been quietly rushing towards our 'Internet marketing' world.
Ready or not, the impact IS coming.
So you're about to experience a 'mind shift'.
I'm not saying it's for better or for worse,
that depends on what you decide to do.
But this WILL affect you.
At least you'll know what to do. Most people will be blind sided. That's why I'm sending you this email.
We're at a cross roads and one path leads
to something much bigger, the other is a
dead end.
So I hope you take the time to watch this

I really enjoyed your review on the Digital Marketer Lab, and found your blog on a Google search of the product, after viewing Ryan's video.
Posted by: Kat@Virtual Jobs From Home | June 21, 2011 at 09:33 AM
Thanks Kat. I try to write my reviews as I see them without resorting to the hype I see in some of the fake reviews.
I believe Digital Marketer Lab will be a genuine help to most Internet marketers provided they watch, learn and put into action.
One of the things that worries me is people who just buy stuff - and even worse chase the bonuses - and get more and more overwhelmed.
Posted by: Paul Simister | June 24, 2011 at 07:55 AM
I think you have done a very good job of describing Ryan's latest, but, If you have no business, no online presence, no affiliate links, no website then is it an advantage ??
peter
Posted by: Peter Brogan | June 26, 2011 at 02:37 AM
Peter, if you haven't got a website, then even as a keen affiliate I have to admit that Digital Marketer isn't for you.
You also raise an interesting point - is it good for affiliates?
I have mixed views.
Digital Marketer will certainly help affiliates to build lists and the inclusion of the Video Sales Letter Formula will help affiliate to produce videos which are likely to convert better than written reviews like this.
But I wouldn't recommend it as strongly to affiliates as I would to information marketers and ecommerce stores.

You will have seen that Digital Marketer Lab was relaunched on August 1, 2011 with The End Of The Web report.
There's some more great content to come in this short pre-launch period.
