Inbox Empire is a new training course from MaryEllen Tribby and Ryan Deiss that is being promoted through a webinar. It explains how you can build a big business based on publishing a digital newsletter - Agora have done exactly that.

I should warn you, it is a very long webinar with a long introduction as Ryan and MaryEllen share their stories of how they got into the newsletter publishing business.
The content then picks up with plenty of tips on how you can create your own newsletter business and then it moves into a pitch for Inbox Empire and finally a Q&A session.
Who Is MaryEllen Tribby?
If you don't know the name of MaryEllen Tribby, then she is the new CEO of Ryan's company and before that she was CEO of Early To Rise, one of Agora's big success stories.
I've known about her since I saw her presentation at one of Rich Schefren's conferences. MaryEllen is an expert in direct marketing and especially building email lists, establishing the relationship and then selling to the list.
And that's what Inbox Empire is all about.
Pooling the knowledge of MaryEllen Tribby and Ryan Deiss is a dream combination for the digital newsletter business. MaryEllen has the experience of working with the big publishers and the insider secret tricks of everything Agora did and Ryan Deiss is a master Internet marketer and focused tester of what really works.
Email Isn't Dying
You may have heard a rumour that email is dying because the youngsters are busy texting, twittering and facebooking.
Sure they are popular but email marketing is still where most of the money is made and you can probably confirm that from your own behaviour.
If you're like me, your inbox is overflowing with spam and stuff that you don't want.
But in amongst all the chaff that you ignore are some gems which get you pay attention and persuade you to take action (click the link).
What is Inbox Empire?
The aim of Inbox Empire is to make sure that your emails are the gems so you get attention and action.
The big advantage of the newsletter publishing model is that you need very little cash to get it started - a domain name, hosting and an Aweber account (or equivalent) and you're in business.
Inbox Empire is a six module training program about building a profitable newsletter business.
The modules are:
- Market research - the big questions of who and what of your newsletter business.
- Nuts & bolts - the technical issues of email newsletter design.
- Getting content - writing your own of using content from other experts.
- Getting subscribers - the crucial element of building your list
- Making money - how to turn your newsletter subscribers into profit through the various means.
- Running the business - and preparing it for sale.
One of the beauties of following the Inbox Empire method to create an email newsletter is that you create a business that can be sold at some time in the future. This gives you two streams of cash and what makes your business more successful month to month, increasing the final sales value of it too.

How Ryan Deiss Is Using The Inbox Empire Ideas
MaryEllen Tribby has been using the Inbox Empire ideas to build a list and then sell other people's products. Ryan Deiss has adopted a different model with his new monthly newsletter Digital Marketer Pro, the upsell into Digital Marketer Lab and then his other products.
Inbox Empire Review
As a successful affiliate for Ryan Deiss, I've been given free access to Inbox Empire and I'm planning to write a detailed review.
The Inbox Empire membership site is attractively designed (the pink is my Firefox SEO plugin highlighting no follow links).
Inbox Empire is a big course so it will take some time but I'll gradually update this review as I work my way through the course.
The course is presented in video form with downloadable mp3s, transcripts and slide presentations. There are also plenty of coaching/Q&A calls featuring Ryan Deiss, MaryEllen Tribby and the members of Inbox Empire.
It starts with a Getting Started video which provides a (long) overview of the course and some homework (or quick-start activities) to help you to get into the right mindset to take full advantage of the course and see what other successful online newsletters are doing.
While this will fill your email inbox, it is interesting to see the examples of best practice. The only downside is that I tend to ignore the content and that gets me into a mindset where I fear others may ignore my content but it's all a matter about being relevant to their interests.
Should You Buy Inbox Empire?
As always a product like Inbox Empire will only create money for you if this is the information you need that's holding you back from success and you're ready and prepared to take action.

Should You Look For An Inbox Empire Bonus?
My views on affiliate bonuses are quite controversial but it's based on my own experience as a buyer of information products.
Basically I think they are dangerous and should carry a "wealth warning".
First, if the product needs a bonus to work, then the product isn't very good and you shouldn't buy it. On that basis upsells need to be very carefully assessed as well to stop you wasting your money while in a buying frenzy.
Second, affiliate bonuses can tempt you to buy products that you don't really want. Sounds crazy but it happens. I can remember one offer when I bought a very well known course because of a big bonus from another guru and I haven't been through either course. Both products are tarred with the "I got this free therefore it doesn't have much value" curse. I really don't know in my own mind which product I was really buying but I wasted my money.
Third, you make money by doing and not by learning.
Yes the two are connected but you're better spending 10 to 15% of your time learning and 85% doing that 50/50 or even worse. The more information products you get, the more you delay taking the actions you need to earn rather than to learn.
Fourth, the information products often contradict each other and you go from having clear guidance and a step-by-step method to being confused and uncertain. That stops you making money because the only solution is... even more more info-products.
Don't chase all the gurus. Pick your favourites and concentrate on one or two.
[As a business coach and adviser I do follow more because I sell tips and methods rather than having my own product or service but it does get confusing and I pay most attention to Ryan Deiss, Rich Schefren and Glenn Livingston]
I recommend that you avoid any Inbox Empire bonus unless it gives you personal time and advice from someone who you respect. That's the only thing you may need on top on what you already get from Inbox Empire and the affiliate commission isn't enough to pay for much time from someone good.
If you buy Inbox Empire from my affiliate link, then I am happy to give you informal help to move your newsletter business forward (email me). My Alexa ranking and the fact that you found this through a search engine proves that I know a bit about Internet marketing but I'm not Ryan Deiss.
Digital Marketer
I do like the vast majority of training programs from Ryan Deiss and especially Digital Marketer, his new membership site about what's working on the Internet now.
I'm sure Ryan will be sharing ideas about what's working in email marketing in the Digital Marketer Lab so you may want to check that out before you invest in Inbox Empire.
