My email inbox this morning is full of details about the new Experts Industry Association.
What is The Experts Industry Association?
It's a group of self appointed leaders and legends of speakers, authors, coaches, consultants and information marketers.
All make their money be selling their skills, knowledge and advice as experts. They just pass on their wisdom in different forms which have in the past been split into smaller sub-groups.
It makes sense to me.
You can learn more at www.ExpertsIndustryAssociation.com

The Purpose Of The Expert Industry Association
To promote an ethical code of practice for members and to pass on best practices from one member to another.
Why is the Expert Industry Academy Needed?
There have been shady practices in operation for many years in information marketing and this group have got together to try to end the bad things going on.
Have you ever read the controversial blog Salty Droid?
It's not a positive, pleasant place to hang around but the author, Jason Jones, has revealed many of the dubious and manipulative practices used in information marketing.
Allegations have been made about some of the members of the Expert Industry Association on the Salty Droid blog. I have no idea whether they are true but recordings of calls sound authentic to me although editing may have taken things out of context.
If things that Salty Droid alleges are happening, then the experts industry needs to be shaken up. People are being abused and manipulated by expert marketing techniques and there are stories of lives being ruined.
I've written about this before on How To Protect Yourself From Guru Greed
I'm also doing much fewer promotions on my blogs and particularly to my email lists because a lot of what has been happening feels badly tainted.
What Do You Think About The Experts Industry Association?
It's quite easy to take a cynical view about the Experts Industry Association but it could be a force for good in the world of information marketing.
I'd love to hear what you think so leave me a comment.
