I've always liked Rich Schefren's contrarian view about website traffic.
Most people think that more traffic will turn an under-performing Internet business into a big money maker. I talk to people whose main aim is to get more traffic.
But things unwind when you start asking about how well their current (limited quantity) traffic is converting into customers and money.
