This StomperNet Membership Review is very much my first impressions of life on the inside of the new StomperNet following the StomperNet 090909 promotion.
While pre-launch gave away great content and let people gain a great impression of what StomperNet had to offer, the launch process had its problems.
However the offer at just $197 is so strong that it will pull many new members into StomperNet and especially with the 30 day money back guarantee.
What really matters is the experience that new members have in these 30 days and how well StomperNet are perceived to be delivering on their promises.
Accessing StomperNet Membership
This is very easy although I have been a StomperNet customer before with the shorter courses but this is the first time I have had access to the full StomperNet resources.
I was greeted with
"The Invasion of the MotherShip of Internet Marketing: Stomper999", a picture of the Stomper symbol over a city and a message saying "Click here to join the excitement". I assumed this was a welcome message and guide so I clicked to open a new tab and found myself back on the Stomper999 sales letter.
Below the photo there is a "News and Announcements" section and the first one I saw was "Welcome To The StomperNet Community".
Reading the message you have a chance to customise the opening page to match your preferences by clicking on the Customize button in the top right hand corner of the first page of the portal.
This also introduces you to the video tour of the portal which I downloaded.
While waiting I had a click around inside the StomperNet membership site and started to notice a feeling of overwhelm. It is exciting to be inside but there is so many options so you need to watch this guided tour video.
Going back to the home page, I noticed that further down there was a welcome message from Brad Fallon together with a link through to a survey which asks about your Internet marketing experience and what you want from StomperNet.
I think StomperNet need to formalise the welcome process so that all us newbies go through the same slick process.
I haven't had any problems with downloading StomperNet videos before but this time the video came in an flv file format which I couldn't open using Quick Time or Media Player. Back into Google to find "How to play flv files". The first option worked fine for me and is easy.
This video is the same one used in the launch to show you StomperNet and covers
- How to customize your personal Home Page.
- What are widgets and how to add or remove them.
- How to change your Page Layout to adjust the look and feel.
- How to edit your personal information on your profile.
- Where the Quickpost feature is located and how to use it.
- What each tab under the groups/sub groups mean and their features.
- How the RSS button works.
- Where to find each group’s content.
It's not exciting but is important if you want to get the best from StomperNet.
The StomperNet membership portal is not as daunting as it first appears although inevitably it will take some time to feel really comfortable.
The Essence of StomperNetBefore I got into the membership site, I would have said that the essence of StomperNet was based around the training resources. It's the first thing I thought about when I decided I wanted StomperNet membership.
But as I browse around and see how active the members are, I am changing my mind. The training videos and webinars are a great feature but the real essence is the value of the community sharing and helping each other out.
One of the reasons why I wanted to join Stompernet - apart from the fact that I want to make lots more money is that I am planning to create a small business membership site - and I wanted to look and learn.
This community spirit is exactly what I want to create and is a credit to the StomperNet members, faculty and support team.
Review Of The Structure of StomperNetMembership sites are a little like a secret society and you don't really know what you are getting until you get in there and look around.
This is what I found.
First the portal is still being created. For the Stomper999 promotion, it was decided to create a brand new StomperNet membership site but, in a content rich environment, it is a massive task to transport things across. It did mean that content was missing from where I expected to find it and I clicked on a few links that are broken
The framework is very straightforward split into groups which divide into logical subgroups.
- Community

As you can see, this is an impressive list of just about everything you need to create and manage a successful Internet business.
Each section has different parts usually made up of a blog, the forum for that section, the media for that topic and a wiki.
I can see that the StomperNet portal is going to be extremely impressive when it has the full content loaded although at September 24th, you can click on a lot of empty placeholders which can feel frustrating.
If training content is what you are after, the courses section does seem to be well loaded so you won't be short of stuff to look at while the other content is brought across.
StomperNet Membership Community Review
I don't know whether it is due to great moderation or a sensible crowd who want to give to receive but the threads I have read were all very informative without a lot of the silliness and nastiness you can see in public forums.
Looking at the postings from the new people. it is probably not surprising that it falls into two categories:
- Wow this is awesome; and
- Where are the tools I was promised?
I guess there are always half full or half empty people around.
StomperNet Review - Where We Are - September 24thIn my review of the launch process, I said that StomperNet had got themselves tied into the 09-09-09 launch date and it is clear that they were not ready.
I can understand why the early birds who joined as soon as they could have complaints about what was available for them because they weren't getting what they thought. StomperNet were right to take away the option to join after the first few days.
However from everything I've seen I think they would be crazy to take their balls away and decide they don't want to play with StomperNet.
There are teething problems but in my experience, there always are when you try to do something new - especially when it is big and new.
The situation on the Stomper Tools that were heavily promoted during the launch is that there is a message saying "ATTN New Customers: Tools will be released in a sequence that will maximize your ability to use all of them in a synergistic way."
While I understand the point and I can see that StomperNet could take over your life, I find the tone a little patronising. From what I've seen there are tools I want and tools I'm not interested in.
Somewhere I have read that there are three tools available but I can only see Market Samurai at the moment. While it is new to me, I know that some started using it in 2008.
Making It Easier For New Members Of StomperNetI am very excited about membership of StomperNet and consider the $197 price to be remarkable value for what will be coming through.
I have written elsewhere that the aim should be to learn and do, learn and do.
That way you can make sure that you are earning extra income from being a StomperNet member that more than pays for membership.
You do however need to be focused on how you use the vast StomperNet resources and I would have liked to have seen a more structured process for new members to move them into the membership process smoothly and effectively.
It is probably coming as StomperNet have always delivered in my experience.
StomperNet BonusesThe one thing I haven't mentioned are the StomperNet bonuses available for joining quickly. I was expecting to see another page in the Portal for them but at the moment it isn't there. I guess it is another thing coming.
Cards on the table. I am a StomperNet affiliate and I do want you to join StomperNet through this link because I get paid some money.
I have tried to give you my first impressions of the StomperNet Membership Site as fairly as I can, identifying the good and the bad points.
I suspect that StomperNet wish they had been more ready but they were caught in the 09-09-09 trap and we are where we are.
I rate the other StomperNet resources I have seen very highly - see my StomperNet Review which I wrote a few weeks ago based on my experience of SMARTS, Stomping The Search Engines, The Net Effect and Formula Five.
From everything I have seen during the launch and now that I am a member, I can see how StomperNet membership suits all levels from newbie to expert. In that I have changed my mind as until the launch I had tended to think that StomperNet was too advanced for a technophobe like me.
The price of $197 per month seems remarkable value to me provided the new members are as committed to the community as the old.
Even better, there is a 30 day money back guarantee so when you try it you are covered if you decide that StomperNet is not really for you. I don't see how they can be fairer than that.
I think other Internet marketers need to be scared by these changes in StomperNet. I can see a lot of membership programs being cancelled elsewhere because they are not needed when you are a StomperNet member.
