The best articles published on my Business Coaching blog to help entrepreneurs and small business owners are shown below from February 2008.
"Paul I have a small business selling cutlery, crystal, silverware and gift-ware and I need some marketing advice. Can you help me?"
This is just the call I like and especially from a business that I can relate to easily. As a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach I should have been jumping for joy.
Unfortunately my coaching services are only for UK based businesses - professional indemnity insurance and liability issues stop me expanding overseas.
I don't have the time or resources to do the proper investigation and the UK offers more than enough opportunity for my coaching business.
That led to the obvious question.
"Where Can I Find Marketing Coaching For My Business?"
Jeff Walker, creator of the famous Product Launch Formula used by Internet marketing gurus like Rich Schefren and StomperNet is conducting a new product launch masterclass which I recommend you watch closely if you are interested in developing and commercialising new products.
I have just had Qassia (personal link) recommended to me as a cool site for boosting web traffic which is free to join.
I have just bought Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing Manuscript.
I can't resist cheesy sales techniques and as a child of the sixties this brings back great memories.
I suspect I am the last person in the Internet marketing world to buy it but hey, sometimes I am a bit slow.
I'll post a review when I have read it but now I'm off to save the world.

Credit where credit is due. Rich Schefren is doing a great job of promoting the Strategic Profits New Beginnings conference with the short video clips.
Today I woke up to find details of a brief Jay Abraham video with Jay in a Q&A session explaining what you need to do to be able to do to stand out in your market.
A quick reminder that the FREE Ideas to Income teleseminar on March 4th, 2008 is Brian Tracy explaining why personal development and business training are the keys to reaching your full potential.
If you make business hard for yourself with one time sales to customers before you move on to the next then "The Great Formula" should be a revelation.
It has taken me too long to listen to the late January call with Jay Conrad Levinson on the Guerrilla Marketing Association. The call is titled the Guerrilla Marketing Attack.
As Jay says "Guerrilla marketing is not a spectator sport - theory won't get you to your destination but action will."
Rich Schefren has hit on an interesting idea. This week he has gathered together a great collection of Internet Marketing experts at Disney World in Florida for the New Beginnings conference and he intends to show short video clips of what is happening on the Strategic Profits blog.
A custompreneur™ is a customer focused entrepreneur™.
It is an entrepreneur or small business owner who is totally dedicated to improving the performance and lives of their customers in a true win-win, partners for profit approach and achieves great financial success and personal satisfaction.
The Maven Of Custompreneurs™
Custompreneur is also my invented word as I try to move to become the maven of the custompreneur movement.
A quick reminder that Jay Conrad Levinson features in the free Ideas To Income teleseminar on 26 February 2008 with his talk on the Evolving Guerrilla Marketer.
You can register on the Ideas to Income website.
The cynical will see the Maven Matrix Manifesto as an 83 page sales letter so that is even long than the letters Rich Schefren normally uses.
If you have been attracted by the idea of the Product Factory for developing a signature information product but you haven't quite made up your mind, here is my second guest reviewer Cara Lumen, another Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach with her Product Factory Review. The Product Factory is the Wind beneath my Wings
If ever there was a driving force in my business life, it has been The Product Factory , that incredible 90 day course in product creation. Not only do you create a unique product, but you learn project management skills, online and offline marketing techniques, how to write compelling sales pages and resources on every product creation subject imaginable.
Before I get into a rant along the lines of "you couldn't make this up", I want to firmly nail my colours to the mask.
I am a big believer in performance measures, key performance indicators (KPI) and performance targets.
Poor communication is at the heart of much bad management practice and key performance indicators very effectively say "this is important, pay attention to it."
Today I have combined two of my current addictions - Jay Abraham and Squidoo to create (drum roll please) Jay Abraham on Squidoo.
I am slowly writing my version of Jay's ideas for improving your marketing and finding hidden opportunities for extra profit.
Following my recent post "Create An Information Product with Product Factory" I am delighted to bring you the first promised review from Tina Cook of Secret2LoveMarketing.com.
As you read, you will feel her infectious enthusiasm for the Product Factory so it is probably right that it carries a health warning.
So I’ve warned you of the potential risk - what you are about to see will lead to habit-forming behaviour!
Reading further is at your own peril!
If it happened to me, it’s highly likely that it’ll happen to you too. I suspect that something is slipped to you virtual-ally. How else can you be on a cyber-high for 90 days? Being part of an experience that is created, geared and fine-tuned with the singular purpose of increasing your success is exhilaratingly addictive!
There is a great section of copywriting in the Nitro Blueprint manual (for people who want to build Internet marketing businesses) and it reminded me that the best way to learn copywriting is to study examples of great copywriting and to learn from the master copywriters.
The Copywriting Learning Process
With this idea in mind I thought I would take a look at some of the great examples of copywriting I see and invite you to study the same pieces and compare notes.
Rich Schefren has excelled himself overnight by posting about an hour of video of Jay Abraham presenting live at an event on his Strategic Profit blog.
I am sure that you have heard how important it is to create your own unique identity and in particular how you need to have your own signature information product if you operate in markets where information can make a critical difference.
I received emails from Michael Port and Mitch Meyerson overnight announcing that the 2008 Product Factory will start on 25 February. This will be the only launch of this very highly regarded 90 day intensive program this year.

I have found a great list of articles and various resources which I thought you would appreciate.
107 Great Resources for Entrepreneurs on Catherine Lawson's blog which offers bold advice for entrepreneurs.
It looks like I have to work harder to try to make the next list but everything takes its time.
Today it's St Valentine's Day and I know I should have whisked Margaret off to one of the cities of love like Paris, Venice or Rome but I didn't. There is a good reason which is outside of my control.
Instead I want to introduce you to a Jay Abraham idea that I believe all customer focused entrepreneurs should follow - you should fall in love with your clients and customers.
Do you have an elevator speech? (A short 20 to 30 second speech to convince anyone why they should hire you.)
Either way, this video from Michael Port will get you thinking.
If you have one, how do you feel when you deliver it or are you frustrated when the other person beats you to the punch and pitches you with a couple of corny lines about how great they are?
Great news, Michael Gerber, famous author of the E Myth series of books will be presenting in the UK on 24 June 2008 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
Michael will be appearing at the DreamStart Exhibition and Conference and will present two "Awaken The Entrepreneur Within" sessions.
This is the first time Michael Gerber has been in the UK to work since the two day October 2006 Dreaming Room I attended in London.
Book Summary Review
The full title of this book by Marcus Buckingham is "The One Thing You Need To Know...About Great Managing, Great Leading and Sustained Individual Success."
I am sure you want to be a big personal and business success but did you know that most people don't achieve great success because they don't know where to focus their time, energy and resources?
