The secret is out and we now know what Rich Schefren has been up to for the last few months since he published the Maven Matrix Manifesto. He has been writing "The Complete Guide To Highly Successful Internet Joint Venture Partnerships."
Interesting. Very interesting.
Rich Schefren has built much of his success based on joint ventures and I remember the teleseminar series he did with Stephen Pierce and Jay Abraham a few years ago that pulled in an amazing amount of money.
Rich says it is "The only A-to-Z marketing manual that takes you behind the velvet rope to break down every facet of JV partnering into quick... easy-to-digest bites."
Have I read this Joint Venture report?
Do I want to read it?
Yes. I consider joint ventures a critical element in the marketing of small businesses.
What Do The Other Gurus Think About Joint Ventures?
Jay Abraham has created a fortune through what he calls host-beneficiary relationships (he used to call them host-parasite relationships but I'm glad he changed because an essential element in a JV is that both parties gain.
Jay Conrad Levinson and the Guerrilla Marketers call joint ventures fusion marketing and in my six week Guerrilla Marketing coaching program I offer, week five is devoted to building relationships with fusion marketing partners.

I just have too much on my plate at the moment including the Maven Matrix Home Study joint venture which Rich Schefren put together with Jay Abraham.
I am trying to be more disciplined about what I buy and only get those things that I can read and apply immediately but I do expect to be reviewing Rich's ideas on Joint Venture Partnerships in the next six months (and Rich a free copy would be nice).
Update: I Now Have The Rich Schefren Joint Venture Partnerships Report
I was offered a free copy to review and since I'm a complete information junkie, I couldn't say No.
I can now start to give you my feedback on this Joint Venture report although at 170 pages long, it will be some time before I get to the end.
What is In The Joint Venture Partnerships Reports?
In the introduction, Rich Schefren explains the incredible power of Internet joint ventures and explains some of the issues involved with affiliate programs and whether it should be a first or last cookie affiliate system. Rich then covers the critical topic of defining the goals of the joint venture. (pages 9 to 23)
In Chapter one, Rich Schefren looks at the search for joint venture opportunities and partners and then moves into your USP - unique selling proposition and the story behind your product. (pages 24 to 41)
Chapter two Rich Schefren explains how you contact your prospective partners and in particular how you build the relationship and the required level of trust. He also gives a long list of red flags to look out for to make sure that you don't partner with the wrong person. (pages 42 to 61)
In Chapter 3, the advice is focused on creating powerful sales and promotional copy on the basis that anyone sending you traffic must have the confidence that you can convert a good proportion of that traffic. (pages 62 to 76)
I know from my own experience how frustrating it is to send traffic along to a joint venture affiliate product and not have even a reasonable conversion rate. What happens? the partner decides he or she is better off promoting other products.
Chapter 4 is focused on using web 2.0 social media to put some ooomph before the campaign. (pages 77 to 93).
In Chapter 5, Rich Schefren takes a brief look at his own joint venture with Jay Abraham on the maven marketing project in early 2008 and then looks at his joint venture with Jeff Walker on the Product Launch Formula 2.0 where Strategic Profits were the top affiliates. (pages 94 to 98 but with links to the campaigns.)
In Chapter 6 the Joint Venture Partnerships return focuses on extending the relationships for future products. (pages 99 to 105).
Next comes a resources section with Rich Schefren pointing us to various recommended resources and then there is a short glossary.
Sample Joint Venture Documents
It always difficult to start from scratch so Rich gives us a sample JV proposal letter together with a Joint Venture agreement and an affiliate agreement.
Finally the Joint Venture partnerships report ends with the email campaigns for the Marketing Maven promotion and the Product launch Formula promotion.
This element of studying what has been successful is critical if you are going to create successful joint venture deals. I can't think of anyone better to study than Rich Schefren.
