I am getting quite a lot of hits on this page for free sales letter templates.

Sorry Instant Sales letters by Yanik Silver isn't free but it is very good value.

While I understand the attraction for free sales letter templates, I do wonder if it might be a false economy.

I am a big fan of direct mail but I must admit that it is expensive to send out - both in time and money.

Things that improves the response of the sales letter are often more important than saving on the sales letter copywriting - or in this case sales letter copywriting guidance.

Also check your lists.

A good sales letter sent to a bad list will do worse than an OK letter sent to a good list.

Also be prepared to send a series of sales letter.

Dan Kennedy recommends a minimum of at least a three step sales letter campaign and it's also been my experience.

I once won about £120,000 of business because I had been writing a sequence of sales letters to the CEO and the head of finance of a business and they both saw me after about the fifth letter.

I wanted to get them both talking about me and it worked.
