Anyway to start the process Rich Schefren has the pleasure to interview Dr Robert Cialdini and he has posted the mp3 recording for free downloading on his blog.
If you are not familiar with the name, Robert Cialdini is the world's foremost expert on influence and persuasion. He wrote the classic book “Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion”.
Now he has a new book “Yes!: 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive” and this is the focus of the interview with Rich Schefren.
Influence and persuasion are at the centre of sales and marketing since the very purpose is to encourage the prospective customer to respond to the call to action. The importance of persuasion doesn't stop there since it is also at the basis of managing people.
