An irresistible offer has three essential parts and helps to answer the four big questions that every prospect wants answering before they will buy.
In some ways it is like a USP or unique selling proposition - but there are so many definitions of a USP that Mark Joyner says that the irresistible offer is not a USP.
For one, an irresistible offer is much more tightly defined and hasn't been redefined by every marketing expert from here to Timbuktu.
The purpose of the irresistible offer is to cut through the clutter and to make your prospective customers understand how they gain by saying "Yes".
My Irresistible Offer
Until I took the Irresistible Offer Elective I've based my promotions around one message:
"Helping customer focused entrepreneurs find hidden profit in their business".
As my techniques rely on the establishment of trust with customers to buy again and to recommend a business to others, they can only be used by those who focus on delivering value for money and true customer service.
That's why I use the phrase "customer focused entrepreneurs" and in face to face networking it can lead to questions like "what is a customer focused entrepreneur" but I must admit that it doesn't cry out "that means you". Some people think "that doesn't mean me" thinking that I only work with entrepreneurs who want to build a big business.
The other problem is that Hidden Profit is a nice term - who doesn't want more profit and aren't you intrigued that the idea there may be hidden profit already in your business?
But it doesn't say how much more profit.
Using the ideas in The Irresistible Offer and taking the same themes I trying turned them into an irresistible offer.
"If you provide a good product or service at a fair price, I can help you find hidden profit of at least five times the fee you pay me guaranteed, or your money back."
It is a bit too wordy but it captures the essence of my offer and provides an instant indication of the return I can give. The basic thrust is "Give me £1 and I will show you how you can find £5 or I will give you the £1 back."
