The abbreviation USP means slightly different words in America and the UK.
In America, USP stands for unique selling proposition.
In the UK, USP stands for unique selling point.
The concept behind the phrases is the same.
To succeed, businesses need to be differentiated away from their competitors. Since I write the DifferentiateYourBusiness.co.uk blog, I clearly believe in this idea.
The idea of the USP is that each advertisement or marketing piece needs to explain this difference.
