I hold up my hands and admit it. I have been guilty of the "do as I say and not do as I do" type of advice when it comes to whether a business should have a niche.
So I am trying one on for size - business coaching for baby boomers.
I'm proud to be a baby boomer and I am seeing many more people leaving the corporate world and looking at self employment and starting their own business as a much nicer option that trying to tout themselves around the jobs market.
From Managing Director & chief executive down, baby boomers with plenty more to give are leaving employment and starting new businesses.
And it is a shock.
That's the message I keep hearing from baby boomers who are starting up and it's what I found when I became self employed back in 1995.
But as your business coach I can help you to make the transition.
This blog and my usual business coaching is full of practical advice to help you to manage a business for profit and if you want to go online and earn income from an ecommerce website or through affiliate marketing, my Online Profits blog is a well established source of information and resources.
But neither address the issues of baby boomers taking the early steps in building a business or the issues involved with managing across the generations.
So I have started another new blog - the Baby Boomers Business Blog.
I will also be taking my main business coaching program - the Eight Pillars of Business Prosperity - and putting a slant on it to help baby boomers who are experienced in business but new to entrepreneurship and being business owners.
These are exciting times so please join me at the Baby Boomers Business Blog. The more we develop it as the centre of a thriving community, the happier I will be but more importantly, the more it becomes a key resource for you.
Not a baby boomer because you are born after 1964 or before 1945?
Of course you are still welcome but be ready for mentions of baby boomer culture as we remembers the glory days of the sixties and seventies. You have been warned.
While business is the main topic, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
