I hold up my hands and admit it. I have been guilty of the "do as I say and not do as I do" type of advice when it comes to whether a business should have a niche.
So I am trying one on for size - business coaching for baby boomers.
I'm proud to be a baby boomer and I am seeing many more people leaving the corporate world and looking at self employment and starting their own business as a much nicer option that trying to tout themselves around the jobs market.
From Managing Director & chief executive down, baby boomers with plenty more to give are leaving employment and starting new businesses.

Jonathan Jay, multi-millionaire founder of The Coaching Academy started a new business venture last year bringing his marketing ideas to small businesses.
Yes, Jonathan is a competitor but he puts out some good content which he delivers with passion. His business model is to give plenty of content away for free and then sell you into quite an expensive programme once he has demonstrated the value of his ideas.
This is the second of a series of blogs that will bring you a Success Track Seminar Jonathan put on in 2008 (see videos 1 to 4 at SuccessTrack) which is teaching marketing to coaches.

One of the topics that I am most interested in is persuasion and influence as it underpins much of what is happening in sales and marketing.
Dave Lakhani is a recognised expert and leading author in persuasion and has a fascinating personal story having been raised in a cult. This triggered his interest in Mind Control.
I wanted to bring the videos of Dave Lakhani into one place for my own purposes and of course, I realised that you would benefit from these ideas as well.

The link to the full article is below but I want to just summarise these 9 points:

I am currently updating my coaching notes and training for Pillar 7 of the Eight Pillars of Business Prosperity, Leading Your Team and thought I should answer the questions:

It sounds silly but for all the studies into leadership, the traits of being a leader and how you can become a better leader, there doesn't seem to be any agreed definition of the basics.
