I just love the Internet - both as an information source and as a promotional tool.
It makes so much sense to be able to put your offers in front of people who are looking for what you've got.
So no wonder Google Adwords and other pay per click schemes have been such a huge success.
But perhaps only 10 to 25% of people who want to buy or could buy are actively looking. It takes effort to make a positive decision and that's why I think Facebook Advertising is such a good idea because it can be so targeted.
Take a look at Facebook Ad Power on my Online Profits blog or jump straight to the promotional video (yes it is an affiliate link) for the hottest Internet marketing product around at the moment.
I Love Direct Mail
No surprise based on how often copywriting features on my blog but what direct mail does is takes a potential buyer and turns them into a buyer.
Yes there is often huge wastage... but that's because the list can't be targeted precisely. In fact the make up of the list is considered to be THE most vital part of a direct mail campaign.
Power Of Facebook Advertising
What if you could take the best of pay per click - i.e. you only pay when you create an action - and the best of direct mail i.e. converting people interested but not actively looking?
Sounds good doesn't it and that's what Facebook advertising potentially is - provided you target your adverts carefully.
Facebook has such a detailed profile of its users and their interests that it presents a brand new opportunity to get a relevant message in front of a potential buyer.
Isn't that interesting.
Whether you have a local retail shop or an international information marketing business, Facebook can still be extremely relevant.
Getting More Details On Facebook Advertising
Take a look at my blog for more details Facebook Ad Power (the link takes you to a product review and promotion on my Online Profits blog)
The program might not be for you but I can certainly see it as a new channel for advertising - just make sure you use direct response marketing techniques - it's all about getting that click, the opt-in, the first purchase, the download of the discount voucher to bring into the store.
Facebook Advertising Credit
I was buying new web domains this morning and spotted by company is offering Facebook Ad Credits for new advertisers if they buy two extensions of a domain (e.g. com and co.uk)

Great post! I don't think Facebook ads get enough credit. I love Facebook ads too. If you're going to market, being able to target your ads specifically it the way to go.
