The Profit Tipping Point
Are You Chasing Too Many Opportunities?
If you are STRUGGLING to make money money on the Internet then it is probably because you are chasing the next big opportunity all the time. It's what most people do and is why Rich Schefren's ideas have proven to be so powerful.
Take a tip from me and watch this free webinar - it is a BIG EYE-OPENER on what holds people back from the success they want.
Dan Kennedy has two updated books coming out - "No BS Sales Success for the NEW Economy" and "No BS Business Success for the NEW Economy" and he and his partner Bill Glazer has put together a special promotion.
Guess what the last two books of Dan Kennedy I bought a few weeks ago - that's right, both Sales Success and Business Success - talk about bad timing. (I haven't written my reviews yet but you can see my thoughts on other Dan Kennedy books)
First I'll let you see one of the affiliate emails for the promotion which give access to two free Dan Kennedy videos.
I just love the Internet - both as an information source and as a promotional tool.
It makes so much sense to be able to put your offers in front of people who are looking for what you've got.
So no wonder Google Adwords and other pay per click schemes have been such a huge success.
But perhaps only 10 to 25% of people who want to buy or could buy are actively looking. It takes effort to make a positive decision and that's why I think Facebook Advertising is such a good idea because it can be so targeted.
Take a look at Facebook Ad Power on my Online Profits blog or jump straight to the promotional video (yes it is an affiliate link) for the hottest Internet marketing product around at the moment.
I was really pleased to find these Think And Grow Rich Videos from Napoleon Hill which are even better than an audio or an ebook version for putting over the classic message of personal development and success.
If you are not familiar with Napoleon Hill, in the early twentieth century he was tasked by steel magnate Andrew Carnegie to investigate and record a new theory of success. This became the hugely influential and massive selling book "Think And Grow Rich".
It's quite difficult to explain the ideas behind Jay Abraham's Master Of Passive Income program and the power of establishing a toll booth position without a specific example.
I'd like to introduce you to Feisal Nahaboo and the work he has done with PROBIZ to create a network of entrepreneurial accountants.
Shaking Up The Traditional Accountancy Market
If you think of a traditional accountant you probably have a stereotype of a gloomy, backwards looking detailed numbers man who talks tediously and confusingly of accounting standards and obscure tax laws.
I think Google Adwords is very clever and the idea of putting your advertisement in front of people who are looking for what you provide is huge appealing.
It is a direct marketers dream as it is quick to use and you get plenty of feedback on what works... and what doesn't work.
But Google Adwords Can Feel Scary
It can be a bit scary to start using Google Adwords.
First it's on the computer and for some of us, anything that bit technical is daunting - I speak as a technophobe who quickly gets out of my depth.
Second, you have this fear that the money will run out of control. Send out 200 sales letters or postcards and you know how much it costs. Same with the advertisement in the local newspaper.
A day after telling you about the Master of Passive Income, Dave Lakhani one of the most respected persuasion experts in the world told me about this video.
It is a presentation he did at a T Harv Eker event - Master Of Influence - and takes 90 minutes to watch in full.
For the details of the latest promotion, I have posted an email I have received from Rich Schefren, Jay Abraham's marketing partner on my Jay Abraham blog - Master of Passive Income
If you are suspicious of all the hype and hoopla that surrounds The Secret and the Law Of Attraction, I don't blame you at all.
Overinflated claims, a lack of emphasis on action and the refusal to accept that sometimes you can be unlucky and bad things happen... for a recent example... just look at the terrible loss of life in Haiti.
I thought this 7 minute video from Napoleon Hill nicely puts things into perspective and the positive impact of directing your mind power on what you want.
If you want to differentiate your business coaching practice so it stands out but you are struggling to find a way to do it, how about becoming a public speaking coach.
My friend and mentor Mitch Meyerson and former public speaking World Champion Craig Valentine have a program to teach you how to coach your clients in the art of public speaking.
Public speaking and presenting to groups of people is an important skill for many businesses and many top information providers, consultants and coaches have built their careers on public speaking.
I've got news of a fascinating copywriting product and offer from the legendary direct marketer Ted Nicholas called Success In The Sun focused on long form sales letters.
If you are frustrated with your marketing - either online or offline - and it is not producing the results you want, the answer lies in improved copywriting and a better offer.
If you don't know Ted Nicholas, he's been responsible for $7.6 billion of sales - that's $7,600,000,000 - through his copywriting and direct marketing activities. He believes this is a world record.
I found this video which acts as a guide for How To Become A Cult Leader or Mind Control Made Easy if you prefer.
I probably spend too much time thinking about this stuff because the more I learn about marketing, persuasion and copywriting, the more I become aware of how the ideas can be used to manipulate.
I had an interesting email yesterday from Yanik Silver - internet entrepreneur and Dan Kennedy protege - about a free teleseminar on "The Entrepreneurial Roller Coaster" featuring Cameron Herold.
That sounds interesting I thought and signed up. I probably won't make the live call but I want the recording.
Today I received an email from Yanik (I am an affiliate for his famous Instant Sales Letters and Maverick Entrepreneur membership) asking for a bit of help to promote the event.
As I was intrigued by the idea of the Entrepreneurial Roller Coaster, I thought you would be too so below is the suggested email to send out.
As I'm in the UK I miss out on the hoopla connected to the Super Bowl - although even I know the New Orleans Saints won.
The TV advertisements are extremely expensive during the Super Bowl and Google have been very clever - really showing the impact that Google can have on your life - by turning to emotional marketing.
I sometimes hear "you can't make our products emotional" and I might have said that about Google... but I'd have been wrong.
I am wary about writing too much about Internet marketing on this blog - it's why I have a specialist Online Profits blog - but I came across a promotional/training video I think you just have to find the time to watch if
you want to close more sales and conversions from your website
and you have thought... even for a moment... that a video would be nice... but it's far too complicated for you.
In today's article Ari will challenge the way you think about sales objections and how you treat them because of the pressure to buy you can place on a customer.
Just a reminder that T Harv Eker is bringing his Millionaire Mind Intensive to London in February 2010.
To be exact you can attend the Millionaire Mind Intensive event on February 19th to 21st at the Hilton London Metropole (link takes you to the hotel in case you want to check where it is in London).
Today I have another of the Why People Fail, No BS articles from Dan Kennedy.
As always it makes good reading with hard-hitting common-sense as he makes it clear, good management of profit isn't just for the tough times - over to Dan Kennedy.
The Price of Negligence
In my relentless search for I don’t know what, I found an article in the December 1, 2008 edition of Nation’s Restaurant News, the trade journal of the restaurant industry, headlined : “Operators Bank On Profit And Loss Scrutiny To Stay Afloat.”
I received a promotional letter from Nightingale Conant today and it listed the common excuses that stop you doing what you need to do to get what you want.
This obviously has links into coaching and according to the letter it's based on the exciting science of psychoneuroimmunology (I couldn't say that after a couple of glasses of wine! The links to Wikipedia.)
If you think about it, these are also common objections when you are selling.
You Don't Have To Have Bad Marketing That Doesn't Work
If you last marketing campaign bombed as badly as the one before, you need to know the headline makes the biggest impression in your marketing online or offline.
It's that fight or flight moment.
Is this relevant to me or is it wasting my time?
And the ruthless decision is made in a few seconds.
You've got a choice - you can either focus your headline on the benefits of your offer.. or you can focus on the problem you are solving.
It sounds like business-speak but are you focusing on employee engagement?
Or are you one of many small businesses who don't know because you don't know what employee engagement is?
In my simple words I'd say employee engagement is how much your employees feel involved in your business, care about its success and commit to doing what's necessary to make it successful.
Now do you see why you should be focusing on employee engagement?
It's too easy to forget the buyer when you are writing your marketing copy... you're proud of your product, your service, your business... and most of all... you want to sell... lots and lots.
So you can fall into one of two traps.
First there is the "Me Me Me marketing".
I know you've seen it because the seller is talking about his favourite subjects - himself, hos products and his services and how absolutely fabulous they are.
The second is better... but still not as effective as it could be.
Statistics indicate that 75% of employees steal from their employer at some stage in their careers and half of those steal multiple times. (See Employee Theft on the International Foundation of Protection Officers website. I believe the original source is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.)
Startling statistics that indicate employees don't need tips on how to steal from the boss... but the opposite, how can small businesses stop theft and fraud.
