Overinflated claims, a lack of emphasis on action and the refusal to accept that sometimes you can be unlucky and bad things happen... for a recent example... just look at the terrible loss of life in Haiti.
I thought this 7 minute video from Napoleon Hill nicely puts things into perspective and the positive impact of directing your mind power on what you want.

I'm ashamed to say I've only heard a condensed audio version of Think & Grow Rich but I've just ordered my copy - I've gone for the original 1937 because I've heard others criticise the shortened more modern versions.
