I received a promotional letter from Nightingale Conant today and it listed the common excuses that stop you doing what you need to do to get what you want.
This obviously has links into coaching and according to the letter it's based on the exciting science of psychoneuroimmunology (I couldn't say that after a couple of glasses of wine! The links to Wikipedia.)
If you think about it, these are also common objections when you are selling.
So here are the excuses:
- I'm too stressed out
- I don't believe I can
- I don't have the time
- I don't have the energy
- I'm too emotional
- I'll always be the way I am
- I'm afraid I'll make a mistake
- I'm too sick
- I'm too sceptical
- I can't do it alone
It's an interesting list isn't it?
Some will apply at particular times, others in particular situations so...
What are you NOT doing that you know you SHOULD do?
The sales letter is promoting "I Know What To Do So Why Don't I Do It" by Nick Hall, PhD. (affiliate link)
I like the Nightingale Conant programs and I'm going to give it a try. You can listen to a few clips on the Nightingale Conant website.
What do you think?
Are you prone to be a victim of one of these?
