Learning how to delegate effectively is one of the most valuable skills a leader can learn. When we delegate we help our employees grow and succeed because we give them the space to do so.
It also benefits us, like you've indicated, because it frees us up to use our talents and abilities instead of wasting time hovering over people or doing things we don't like doing. I think of delegating as a way to get more done by doing less.
