The Purpose Of Strategy Models
Strategy models help you to organise your thoughts about business strategy and explain your thinking to other people.
I have to admit that strategy can seem a difficult subject to pin down.
It's a much over-used word. If you want to make something sound important, then just put "strategic" in front or "strategy" at the end.
Your marketing plan becomes your strategic marketing plan.
But the popular strategy models give you the basis for the conversation and a structure to work with.
They are also useful for helping to join the dots. You see a problem which reminds you of one part of the strategy model and it helps to put you on notice for what may have come before and what may happen afterwards.

I like the SWOT analysis, to be honest. It's a great way to get a snapshot of how you can improve.
