Web 2.0 Free Report

Product Launch Formula 2.0
Jeff Walker launched his new Product Launch Formula 2.0 coaching program to massive success last Thursday but unfortunately it didn't go as smoothly as Jeff would have wanted.
His server really did crash within a couple of minutes of the launch time. I know because I was buying and I'd just transmitted my credit card details and was waiting for confirmation of the transaction.
The server was down for 35 minutes.
Hundreds of other people were caught in the same situation so Jeff's back office was inundated with email questions. Some people thought they had ordered but hadn't - like me. Some people thought the transaction had failed so they ordered again but the first transaction had worked.
Anyway the point of this news update is that my grapevine says that because of all this chaos, Jeff took the Product Launch Formula off the market sooner than he had originally intended so it will open again later this week.
If you are interested in the Product Launch Formula, you still have a chance to buy but it won't last for long because the coaching program starts on April 7th.

Free Advertising Blogs
Google and the other search engines love blogs because the content is constantly updated and because they are designed in a very simple way for the search engine spiders to work.
Some enterprising people have picked up on this and are offering free advertising blogs.
From my quick research this morning, it appears that there are different levels of sophistication available but it's no surprise that the best are not quite free.
More exposure and links back to your website will help with your online business success.
Option 1 - Mike Filsaime Free Advertising Blog
Mike Filsaime is one of the best known of the Internet marketing gurus so I expect this advertising service to be the fastest growing. As we see from sites like Wikipedia, Amazon etc Google likes big sites which receive plenty of hits.
You can post adverts for free which will be picked up by the search engines.
But Mike Filsaime is offering an Elite Membership subscription at a very attractive price which gives you added benefits including automatic regular posting of your saved adverts and the ability to embed html into your ads.
This seems to be an imitation of social networking site Ecademy with their marketplace adverts which I have been playing around with for some time.
My experience from Ecademy is that the adverts are picked up very quickly by Google and because of the power of the Ecademy website, they can feature well in searches for mid/long tail keyword phrases.
However because the adverts don't justify their place through content, their Internet presence does fade away. The Ecademy black star members who pay a lot of money for membership, have a facility to keep on automatically reposting their adverts - meaning they are fresh and as one advert fades away, another one appears to replace it.
This is the same opportunity that Mike Filsaime is offering through his Free Advertising Blog
Even better, Mike is offering a special deal.
Like the original telephone, the concept gets better as the number of users on the system increase so he is tempting the early birds with a very attractive offer that I have accepted.
The pressure is now on to write the adverts but at this stage, my plans are to keep them short and simple and point them to this blog so I can see the level of traffic that is coming through.
Option 2 - Stephen Ralph Free Advertising Blog
This blog doesn't have the fancy software that Mike Filsaime's blog has as it is just a Wordpress blog that you can contribute to.
However it is free with no pressure for any upsell. You just go and register and start posting your advertisements.
Why is Stephen Ralph doing this? The blog uses Google Adsense heavily to generate cash which I think is fair enough although its not a direction I want to go with my premium blogs.
So far there have been over 1,500 advertisements placed so the blog is growing quickly and it will attract the attention of the search engines. Stephen uses three categories - business opportunities, income opportunities and products/services so there is some grouping of like items.
I have tried this free advertising blog as well and intend to give it a post a day for a while to see what happens. Again the same strategy as before. Simple adverts pointing back to this blog so that I can see the results.
If I didn't have this blog, I would be tempted to write some longer, more keyword content rich advertisements with the hope that they may stay longer in the search engines.
But again I wouldn't target main keywords but those that may have a few searches a day. Better to be on the first page of a phrase searched 2 times per day than on page 17 for a very competitive phrase with hundreds of searches.
Other Free Advertising
To some extent the idea of free adverting blogs isn't much different from the website directories that offer free and paid for advertising.
The links may help you to move up the search engine rankings but there may not be much direct traffic from them depending on how you target your keywords and in particular your title.
My strategies for the directories is to focus the links on my main keywords to help build up my link popularity.

Mike Filsaime and Rod Beckwith have joined forces to create Butterfly Reports.
Mike Filsaime is the king of viral marketing and it is done with high quality free ebooks/reports which fly around the internet with your affiliate links embedded in each report.
The silver level is free although you can upgrade to get more reports each month with a higher content of your affiliate links.

I just love giving free reports away but you can bundle them up in any way that you want. Just remember each report out there is a potential income earner.
