Affiliate Marketing & How To Blog For Profit
I have been doing some research and I am astonished at just how many information products there are that claim to teach people to be experts in affiliate marketing and/or how to blog for profit.
In a bid to find the best products for you I have been splashing my cash so you can look forward to reviews of:
Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner
I bought this at the end of November but have not yet read it. Initial overview impressions are that it looks very comprehensive - 233 well presented, information packed pages.
Blogging To The Bank by Rob Benwell
Just purchased. The main report is only 61 pages so you could regard that as skimpy compared to the Super Affiliate Handbook or it could be focused. There are though plenty of bonuses including extra reports, slides from Rob's presentation at a Yanik Silver event (Yanik Silver is a big name Internet copywriter) and various extra unannounced bonuses. Read my review of Blogging to the Bank.
Sneaky Affiliate Cheat - Undercover Affiliate X (aka Chris)
Again just purchased and this has a different slant on the process. I am not keen on the "cheat" idea as that implies an element of dishonesty but I was intrigued enough to find out what it is all about. Sneaky I am OK with. My dog is sneaky, she knows what she wants and she goes out to get it with purposeful action.
Are these scams, rip-offs and cons?
I don't know yet and it partly depends on where you are starting from.
If you are looking to supplement your income then selling affiliate products can be a useful source and some of the biggest names in business development are not shy about promoting the next big thing.
I have really taken to blogging but don't let anyone convince you that it is easy or effortless.
I see many affiliate pages where it is clear that they just take the sales letters as written and the affiliates have no idea whether the products are any good. That's no way to run a business and you certainly wouldn't do that if you had a shop and had to face angry customers.
Generating traffic is also a challenge.
I am pretty good at search engine optimisation for my main key words but I heard something in a seminar yesterday that amazed me. Over 50% of searches in search engines are one-offs so you can't optimise your website or blog for these because you have no idea what will be typed in.
If you have tried any of these three products it would be great if you could leave a comment. Otherwise look out for my reviews.
My book reviews show that I am not prepared to mince words if I find something that is not up to standard. All three of these products had convincing sales letters with plenty of testimonials.
