It doesn't take you much experience to realise how important effective recruitment is both to the profitability of your business and to having an easier, nicer, more satisfying life as a business owner.
Recruitment mistakes happen.
But it's bad news from the moment this errant employee starts until you decide to cut your losses or he or she decides to leave.
And it's not just your life that is blighted. So are the lives of the people how have to work these people.
I always remember this quote from Brian Tracy:
"Hire slow, fire fast."
It doesn't sound very nice but I believe it is the best recuitment policy, assuming you can ease out this liability within the employment laws. Breaking them is an expensive nightmare in terms of money, time and stress.
